Need accounting or bookeeping advice for my business please

Postby James Clark » Fri Feb 22, 2013 3:29 am

Hello, I am one person trying to get a new online retail business going, I have to handle product sourcing, advertising, website issues and online marketing which is already too much, now I have to add bookkeeping to this so I simply cannot handle all of this mainly the accounting part so I need to come up with something. About the only thing I can think of is to hire a bookkeeper but I haven't begun to make any profit yet to pay someone so I really have no idea how to proceed?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

who would be the interested parties for the bookkeeping data?

Is it for income tax purposes?

I'd suggest to fund the "business" from a source specific to the "business" transactions. i.e. a credit card for just the business., cash receipts should be easy to "record". In other words rely on electronic record keeping.

That will keep the transactions all together in a neat and tidy manner.
